Cookie Memories
During my visit to my grandparents last week, I went through my grandmother's recipe books. I was so excited to finally find my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe in there. My Nannie and I must have baked them 100 times or more! Last night, I finally had a chance to bake a batch and they are still just as yummy! Of course they are not exactly like Nannie's but they are pretty close.
I find it amazing that a cookie could remind me so much of being a kid. I would grab a cookie and eat it on the swing on the lawn or go curl up with a book on the couch. These cookies will always take me back to Nannie and Grampie's. The place where I learned to make cookies and polish the wood stove in my good clothes!

Maybe that's why grandparents
find their grandchildren so likeable.
