One Step At A Time...

My poor laptop died on me this week. Motherboard took her final trip on the info highway last Sunday. Thankfully my in-laws had a spare tower for the desktop that they let us borrow. I lost my laptop and had to send my iPhone to Apple to be repaired. I feel lost without them. Thankfully Hubby will be starting work in a couple of weeks and we are going to look into a new basic laptop again. I love the laptops and miss mine terribly :(. My iPhone is my baby and I almost feel naked with it gone!

Just taking a few mintues to wish you all a blessed Easter weekend! Let us remember the real reason why we celebrate this wonderful holiday! He has risen and lives in our hearts! Thank you Lord for your love and grace!

I want a sewing machine. The reason for this, I have none. I do not know how to use one in anyway. I can barely work a thread and needle!! Imagine adding power to the needle? I guess I am just ready to learn a new craft. I can knit and scrapbook, why not take up sewing too! Are you reading this, Dear? I want a sewing machine.

After taking a week off due to doctor's orders, I decided to go back to the gym last night. It felt so good to move! Last week was spent in my bed and on my chair with a few ER trips mixed in. I am slight discomfort today but nothing serious. Now to get through Easter with all of it's chocolatey yumminess!

Well I finally had my ultrasound this morning. No ovarian cysts or other issues that they could see! Thank you Lord! I was quite stressed out that it would be the worse possible outcome. The ER doc consulted with a gynocolgist before releasing me. She believes that my uterus has outgrown it's blood supply. I have only had one mentsrual cycle in 5 years due to continous use of birth control. Now I have to change my type of birth control. Hopefully that will cure all these issues. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!!!

For any of you that pray, please add me to your prayers. I am facing some issues with my body and I don't know what is wrong. My doctor has ordered an emergency ultrasound and bloodwork. I am trying to faith that all is/will be ok but it is very hard. We always think the worst is happening. The waiting is what is stressing me out. I know this is another test of my faith and I am praying that I pass it. Do not be afraid of tomorrow; for God is already there.  ~Author Unknown

During my visit to my grandparents last week, I went through my grandmother's recipe books. I was so excited to finally find my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe in there. My Nannie and I must have baked them 100 times or more! Last night, I finally had a chance to bake a batch and they are still just as yummy! Of course they are not exactly like Nannie's but they are pretty close. I find it amazing that a cookie could remind me so much of being a kid. I would grab a cookie and eat it on the swing on the lawn or go curl up with a book on the couch. These cookies will always take me back to Nannie and Grampie's. The place where I learned to make cookies and polish the wood stove in my good clothes!
